My wife and I live in Lake Tahoe and go skiing regularly in winter. We get thirsty on the slopes but don't want to take off our equipment for a quick drink in the lodge. We tried carrying standard water bottles but they were too bulky. One day I observed my wife eating a handful of snow in an attempt to quench her thirst. At that moment the concept of Waterstix was born.

For a long time we observed the drinking habits of people. We decided that four ounces was enough to temporarily quench a normal thirst for water. And Waterstix are so slender you can carry two of them in a jacket and have eight ounces of water with you on the slopes.

Although Waterstix was developed to help skiiers and snowboarders it quickly became apparent there were other uses for them. They fit easily in pant pockets and small purses. For businessmen they fit in suit coat and sport coat pockets. For outdoor activists they fit in hunting and fly fishing vests, hiking shorts, cargo pants and sweat pants. They are also a great size for kids.

So now on those many occasions when you can't be near your car or home, you don't have to go without water. Waterstix is water when you want it!
